How to Power up folder shortcuts
Explore Favorites
In Default Folder X’s prefs, click Folders, then Favorites. To add a new folder, click +, browse to the location and click Add Folder. For places you use often, click under Shortcut to assign a system-wide keyboard shortcut.
Define defaults
Click Default Folders, then +, browse to a folder and click Add. Click All Applications and pick an app; the folder becomes the start point in that app’s Open and Save dialogs. “When” sets whether it’s always or only once.
Create folder sets
Click the Folder Set popup, pick Edit Folder Sets, and add a new set. Each folder set you create can have its own favorites/defaults, to help with different tasks. Switch sets from the Utility button in Open/Save dialogs.
