How to Change your Watch’s appearance

Better brightness

On your Watch, go to Settings > Brightness & Text Size. At the top, you can pick from three brightness levels by tapping the buttons at the left and right of the green indicators. You can also do this in the iPhone’s Watch app.

Clearer text

In the same menu, you can make text bigger or bolder. Tap Text Size to get six different size options (one smaller than default, and four larger). Back in the previous menu, use Bold Text to make everything chunkier.

Sounds and tapping

Use the Sounds & Haptic menu to set the volume of alerts and force of the Taptic engine. Haptic Strength has three settings — the lowest is Off. You can activate Silent Mode here, though Control Center is a quicker route.
