From snow to sand

The latest apps and hottest hardware for your Apple TV.

Two years ago, developer Snowman dazzled us with the runner-style game Alto’s Adventure, which found the title character whisking down snowy slopes. The beautiful graphics were critically acclaimed, but now Alto is back with a new adventure in completely different scenery.

Alto’s Odyssey is a standalone journey. This time, Alto finds himself sandboarding his way through the desert, using the same one-touch trick system that powered the first game, which enables players to chain together combos and complete 180 level goals.

Players “soar above windswept dunes, traverse thrilling canyons, and explore long– hidden temples in a fantastical place far from home.” But like the original game, Alto’s Odyssey isn’t as quite as easy as it looks — there are plenty of vines, hot air balloons, rock walls, and mischievous lemurs just waiting to trip players up along the way.

?? ?? If you need to switch off, play Alto’s Odyssey in Zen Mode, which has a serene soundtrack and no scores or coins.
