> New iPad vs. iPad Pro
Now that the new 9.7-inch iPad supports Apple Pencil, is there any reason to buy an iPad Pro?
The Pro’s screen is not only larger (10.5 or 12.9 inches), it also has ProMotion technology (so the screen refreshes faster for less lag or flicker in moving images) and a True Tone display (so colors and white balance adjust according to the surroundings). Where the iPad has two speakers, the Pro has four, for punchier sound. The Pro is compatible with Apple’s Smart Keyboard, and its A10X Fusion chip is more powerful than the new iPad’s A10. Finally, the Pro’s camera is much better, offering 12MP photos (vs. the iPad’s 8MP), optical image stabilization, a quad-LED True Tone flash, better slow-mo, 4K video recording (vs. 1080p), and panoramas up to 63MP (vs. 43MP). However, the Pro is much more expensive, starting at $649. Compare the specs below or go to apple.com/ipad/compare.
