Oceanic Wonderland HD

Calm sea waters

- J.R. Bookwalter

If you love the ocean but can’t afford to travel, there are plenty of ways to bring the spirit of the sea into your living room, without the smell of salt water and dead fish.

Oceanic Wonderland HD is one way, and it’s simple to use. A main menu is used to select from five “amazing oceanic video wallpapers”: Tropical Island Waves, Fishes Swimming, Endless Waves, Amazing Ocean, or Blue Sea. That’s it, but the video quality is decent, and hey, it’s free, so there’s that.

Aside from leaving us wanting more, the app could benefit from accompanying sound effects. As it stands, there’s no audio at all, presumably so the viewer can play background music or provide their own soothing ocean sounds. But it does seem like an odd omission, even for a basic app like this.

?? ?? Oceanic Wonderland HD enables you to watch the sea, but sadly provides no sound.
