Sell your unneeded tech to raise some cash

Mac|Life - - FEATURE -

If you want to raise some extra cash to put towards the purchase of a new Mac, you should consider selling your old computer. Apple offers a trade-in scheme ( www.apple.com/mac/

trade-up) and will give you money to recycle your old Mac, but the prices it offers are not always the best available.

If you want to get an idea of how much your Mac is worth, use a website called mac2sell.net. Its prices are often a little on the generous side admittedly, but it can be useful to see how much you might be able to sell your model for, when the time comes.

Perhaps the best way to get an accurate sense of how much you might raise is by checking other listings on eBay. Watch auctions of the same model as the one you want to sell, as that shows what people are willing to pay (rather than Buy it Now items, which often don’t sell at all).

However you sell your old Mac, it’s an excellent way to reduce the amount you need to save up.
