Start filtering your files the smart way

Bring order to your Mac with the help of Smart Folders

-

You don’t want to spend too much time manually trawling your Mac’s storage for specific kinds of files. Also, although Hazel (on the next page) is great at automated organization, you probably don’t want it peering at every folder on your Mac.

Smart Folders can therefore be a good halfway house. You can create custom rules and add Smart Folders to Finder’s sidebar for quick access. A little time setting up will reward you with groupings of documents (based on size, date created, file type, or other criteria), which are then only ever a click away.

?? ?? Use Smart Folders in Finder to reveal arbitrary files based on custom conditions and located anywhere on your Mac.
