Apple in 2019
2018 gave us redesigned hardware and big software changes. The year ahead looks even more interesting…
With 2018 gifting Apple fans redesigned hardware and huge software changes, we look ahead to 2019 and theorize what new events might be in store.
Apple doesn’t comment on future products, except when it does. We know a brand–new Mac Pro is on the way in 2019, for example, with the future–proof flexibility the current model lacks. We just don’t know exactly when, or what it’ll look like, or what exactly will be inside.
One date we can be fairly sure of is the World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC), which for the past decade has taken place at the start of June. We may get a peek at the Pro then, and we’ll certainly see more of Marzipan, the framework that’ll bring more iOS apps to Mac. Another safe bet is that we’ll see a shiny new set of iPhones in some time in the fall.
Beyond that, it’s tricky to know exactly when new gear will drop, but that’s not going to stop us making some educated guesses. So here are our educated guesses. Of course, we’ll be here with reviews of whatever 2019 brings.
