Positive proof that you don’t need to break the bank to get your floors clean, the RoboVac 30C costs less than half the price of its rivals here and, despite missing a few of their smarter features, does a credible job. It’s not keen on certain bumps, and there’s no smart–barrier sensing at all beyond the included mag strips, but you can take manual control over the RoboVac if there’s something you want tackled. It’s quiet, boosts power on certain surfaces and, while there’s no way to view its internal maps (we’re not sure it makes any, given its tendency to bumble about), it’s a capable cleaner. The RoboVac is the only smart vacuum on test to sport a pair of side brushes rather than just one.
