There are lots of calendar apps for iOS devices, but most of them have a significant flaw if you work with people in different time zones, or you’re a regular traveller: you have to manually work out the time difference.

CalZones is different — it displays all your appointments in multiple time zones. The choice of zone is up to you.

Once you’ve given CalZones access to your iOS calendar, it pulls in your appointments and events, and displays them in each of the time zones you’ve set. You can immediately see what time colleagues on the West Coast have to get

up to make your conference call, or how late teammates in Asia have to work to make the same call.

The first step is to set up the time zones you want to use. Once you’ve done that, the options are pretty similar to any other calendar app, with one or two additions. You can choose from several different colored themes, and which time zone to use as the default.

CalZones’ interface lacks the visual treats of, say, Fantastical or Moleskine Timepage. But it’s easy to navigate, and the timeline view allows you to instantly see the current time in each of your time zones, along with when appointments begin and end. One tap takes you to a more conventional month view.

There’s also a Watch app with several complications, albeit some that overlap with those available natively in WatchOS.

THE BOTTOM LINE. A useful app for viewing your calendar appointments in multiple time zones.
