Why are they so big?

I’m on the “they’re getting too big” side of the iPhone debate. I got the iPhone XR and, although I appreciate the big screen because I have vision problems, I also have hand pain (for which heavier phones are hell) and just prefer a smaller phone overall. I preferred the iPhone 7 size and, honestly, I loved my previous 4S even more! I held the XS Max and it’s ridiculous! If I want that big a screen, I’ll use my iPad. Yes, it’s nice to only carry one device that does it all, but I want to be able to type using one hand, and be able to put my phone in my pocket or my purse’s compartment. ANNIE–DANIELLE GRENIER

And so the phone–size debate continues. it seems the majority of you are split on the topic. will the folding– phone form factor solve the “i want a big screen, but not a big phone” problem? Judging by recent efforts, no, but it’s heading in the right direction.
