How easy is it to create new events?

WeekCal didn’t recognize “today at 7” as inputs for date and time, nor did Informant or Timepage. Fantastical and BusyCal did. Calendars 5 recognized the request and offered Contacts info when we typed a name, which Timepage also did. We found it easy to forgive Timepage its lack of natural language input thanks to the innovative use of sliders and dials to set time and date. Whereas using the other apps feels perfunctory, Timepage is a real joy to use. Fantastical has a similar feel thanks to its scrolling events list, and the use of gestures to pull down week and month view.

All the apps used a “+” icon to denote adding an entry, but in Timepage’s case it was a swipe away from the main screen and difficult to see. We liked the way that Calendars 5 kept the screen clear and simple until we started adding data.
