A model iOS citizen with tons of great features

-

Choosing a winner here is tricky because calendar apps are very personal, and we each want different things from them. Some elements are common to all of us, though, like the ability to quickly and easily add events, appointments, and tasks. The option to view them in a number of different ways is also essential. Both of these factors contribute to the enjoyment of using an app, as does the way it looks.

When it comes to aesthetics, there was a clear winner. Moleskine’s Timepage looks beautiful, is highly customizable,

and presents information clearly. But it lacks support for Reminders, and so didn’t win overall. That honor goes to Fantastical, which manages to combine an attractive interface with neat navigation, and support for Reminders and Siri Shortcuts. Extra features like location–based alerts are well thought out. It doesn’t have the best month view in our round–up, but its natural language support, smart scrolling, and use of gestures make it the best of the bunch overall. It also has a Watch app, as well as companion apps for macOS and iPad.
