HOW TO Audit your passwords

View your accounts

On iOS, go to Settings > Passwords & Accounts > Website & App Passwords to see your saved accounts. On a Mac it’s Safari > Preferences > Passwords. Your accounts are listed — tap or click one to view its password.

Identify duplicates

An “!” in a triangle next to an account means its password has been reused. On iOS, tap the website name, then tap “Change Password on Website”. On Mac, click the yellow triangle to change your password.

Scan and save

Built–in password audit features are included in some third–party password managers. LastPass scans your saved passwords and highlights weak ones. It gives you a score and offers to generate (and save) new ones.
