Sell, donate, part–exchange, recycle

-

>>> If you want to part ways with your old device, there are lots of options. For one thing, Apple offers its own trade–in service, which allows you to hand over an old device and get credit towards a new one. Apple’s valuations generally are not the best on the market, so you’ll probably be able to get a better price elsewhere. But if you know you’re going to buy something new from Apple, it can be a more convenient option than trying to sell your device separately.

An alternative is to sell your device on eBay. To ensure you do not go in blind, always check to see how much similar devices go for before listing your item. To do this, search for your device on eBay, but only display auction results. Next, sort the results by “Ending soonest.” That way you can see how much people are actually willing to bid for your device, rather than looking at Buy it Now results, which are often priced too high and don’t reflect the true selling price.

The third option is to use sites that pay you for your old devices, like Best Buy Trade–In. A comparison website like Sellcell.com compares trade–in prices from a large range of recyclers and traders, enabling you to get the best price without spending an age searching each site individually.
