Mini marvel

-

My beloved 2007 iMac is no more, but I’m not sad as 14 years out of any computer is amazing. When I saw the M1 Mac mini, I knew I’d found my new Mac. I upgraded as much as I could (16GB RAM and 2TB storage), and I’ve been amazed. It’s the fastest computer I’ve ever owned, the graphics are amazing, and it’s a joy to use. macOS Big Sur is fast, user– friendly, yet still retains a lot of the same feel of El Capitan. Apple has (again) raised the bar with its SoC. I feel it’s not just a faster CPU/GPU, it’s changing the way computing is done. The very first Mac was an all–in–one computer. PC companies are now making their own all–in–one Windows machines. I don’t expect to see a Windows box like the M1 any time soon. RICK PERROTTA
