This is far from the world’s first 38–inch superwide monitor, but it is one of the most spectacular. A lot of that is down to a combination of premium styling and plenty of features. The swooped design includes a wireless charging dock integrated into the base of the tilt–only stand. Combined with charging support over USB–C, this monitor promises to dramatically reduce your overall cable count.
It’s a little bit of a pity, therefore, that USB–C charging is limited to 60W. That’s not enough to keep top–spec MacBooks and other high–performance laptops fully juiced when under heavy load.
As for the visuals, they’re mostly impressive thanks to the beautiful, if not overly bright, 38–inch curved IPS panel. But while the 3,840 by 1,600 native resolution provides plenty of working space, it also makes for an unimpressive 109DPI. Consequently, smaller 4K monitors look much crisper and sharper.
