From BenQ, benq.com
A 32–inch 4K IPS panel, HDR, USB–C connectivity with charging, integrated soundbar and 95 percent coverage of the DCI–P3 color space. What more could you want from a premium desktop display?
Its specs are impressive on paper and in practice it’s pretty special too. It’s not a true HDR monitor as it lacks local dimming, but with 400cd/m2 of brightness it’s plenty punchy. Color rendering is rich and accurate and the full 4K resolution makes for lots of working space and support for UHD.
Of course, the 32–inch proportions translate into the less–than–spectacular 137DPI. A smaller 4K display would have a sharper, crisper font rendering. Likewise, while this monitor is really good value overall, the tilt–only stand is a bit low rent.
High–end MacBook Pro users will prefer a little more than the 65W of charging power the BenQ provides over USB–C, but as an overall proposition for the price this panel is a bit of a peach.
