Best of both worlds

The new Coverage setting creates a JPEG that benefits from Smart HDR and Deep Fusion. It also grabs a Raw version to edit. Tap the gear–shaped settings icon. Tap Capture. In Capture Format, tap the RAW+ icon.

Choose shooting format

Swipe down to return to the Halide Camera. Tap the RAW+ icon to toggle between saving one processed image or a Raw and a JPEG. A label will tell you which option you have selected.

View versions

Tap the shutter button to capture a Raw and JPEG version of the shot, then tap the thumbnail at the bottom– left to view the images. Tap DNG to see the Raw version, then tap Instant to process the Raw file’s colors and tones.
