HOW TO Migrate your PC manually

1 Find all your files

The Windows File Explorer only shows the current user’s folders, so if you have multiple users on your PC you’ll need to make sure you copy the other users’ data too. You’ll need to be authorized to view other users’ folders.

2 Export old emails

Cloud–based email like Outlook. com or Gmail will work on your Mac. But if you have a POP3 email account where your messages are downloaded to your PC you’ll need to export those messages to an mbox file and import it into Mail.

3 Export bookmarks

If you plan to use Safari on your new Mac, export your browser bookmarks so it can import them: open your browser’s bookmarks or favorites and export them to a bookmarks file. Sign out of online services when done.
