Have you bricked your M1 Mac?

-

> SOME M1 MAC owners are finding that updates or restores are bricking their new toys. Apple says: “In very rare circumstances, such as a power failure during a macOS upgrade, a Mac may become unresponsive.” There are two fixes to this issue — revive or restore. Revive fixes the firmware but doesn’t touch your data; Restore is more serious, equivalent to Erase All Content And Settings on an iPhone. To do either, you’ll need to connect your Mac to another Mac running the Apple Configurator 2 app and use that app to perform the revive or restore. You’ll find full details of the process at bit.ly/mac362rrmwaswac2.
