Adjust default time

Open preferences and click the Sessions tab. Here you can change the default session duration in minutes, hours, or a custom time. This is useful if you mainly activate Amphetamine by Ctrl–clicking its menu bar icon.

Keep drives awake

Amphetamine’s Drive Alive feature writes tiny amounts of data to your hard drives to keep them awake (this isn’t so necessary for SSDs). You can enable it in preferences and set how often it writes data.

Customize hotkeys

Click the Hot Keys tab. Here you can set keyboard shortcuts that will activate various Amphetamine features. You can also set whether a new session will end and overwrite an existing one, and how long it lasts.
