Struggling to organize your tasks? Structured offers a fresh way of doing things. Rather than presenting a simple list of your tasks, Structured places them on a timeline running from top to bottom. Each day has a timeline, with a weekly calendar at the top letting you go from one day to the next. Tasks sit in the middle of the timeline, while a box to check off jobs when they are complete lies to the right.

To create a task tap Add Task, enter a description, a start time, and a duration, then tap Create Task. The app assigns an icon to each task based on its description.

Compared to standard task apps, Structured’s approach presents a much clearer view of not only what is on your plate, but how long each task will take to complete. Instead of looking at your task list and wondering when you should do each one, you can now integrate your jobs directly into the day ahead. The result, as the app’s name implies, is a much more ordered day.

There is still room for improvement, though. Although Structured has a weekly calendar, a full monthly view would be welcome. A lot of useful features, including notifications and recurring events, are locked behind a $4.99 Pro upgrade, and without notifications you might find it hard to stay on track. The price is not egregious, though, and worth it if you are a fan of the timeline method.

THE BOTTOM LINE. Structured is a novel approach to planning your day’s outlook. ALEX BLAKE
