Twelve South’s HoverBar Duo is an essential accessory for iPad fans wanting a more substantial and versatile stand. Its multi–adjustable arm can be mounted on the weighty base, or swapped out for a shelf clamp, allowing you use it freestanding, or hanging from a suitable surface. The arm gives you loads of adjustability, and it extends to 15 inches, allowing you to bring it up to eye level. This is perfect for SideCar next to your Mac’s display!

Though Twelve South markets it as a stand for the iPad (all generations), the HoverBar Duo also works with all iPhones. Mounting your chosen device is a cinch — just pull apart the spring– loaded clamp, and place it in. It’s very secure. One neat extra is the Apple Pencil slot on the base.

The only downside is the arm wobbles slightly when you press the touch screen, resulting in the iPad vibrating slightly. Not a deal breaker, but that, along with the high price tag, means no five stars.
