Secure browsers often restrict your available extensions. If they don’t, it’s really important to ensure that you’re not undoing the browser’s good work by running privacy–breaking add–ons.

>>> Do you need it to sync between your devices?

Some of the browsers here have iOS/ iPadOS versions that can sync with your Mac’s browser.

>>> Are you sharing stuff voluntarily?

Browsers can’t stop you from sharing data voluntarily. Don’t use social media accounts to log in to other websites, and be careful with your personal data.

>>> Do you need a VPN?

These browsers hide your address and traffic, but only for your web browser. You need a VPN to use apps privately.
