Putting a modern twist on the Polaroid concept, this printer provides a bunch of hands–on controls as well as a tilt–up 3.2in color screen for managing settings. There’s great connectivity with Wi–Fi and Wi–Fi direct, USB from a computer or camera, USB memory stick, or an SD card. The big, slightly toy–like buttons actually make it pretty easy to work with and you can select print sizes, borders, and finishes onboard. The Canon Print app can also send images directly from iOS for printing.

You max out at 300x300 dpi and there’s a maximum postcard sized print of 5.5x3.9in plus a selection of smaller options. Large prints take around 50 seconds to print and small ones around 30. The battery pack is optional which is unfortunate as it seems like the ideal photo printer for mobile use, and provides around 72 full size prints on a full charge. Overall, photo printing results are very good, and running costs reasonable.
