HOW TO Annotate a PDF or image

Set up Continuity Markup

Your Mac will need to be running macOS 10.15 or later, and mobile devices need iPadOS or iOS 13 or later. You’ll need Bluetooth and Wi–Fi on and be signed in to iCloud.

Choose a doc to markup

On your Mac, locate the document you want to mark up. Ctrl–click on it and choose Quick Actions > Markup. Or invoke Quick Look, click Annotate, and then the device icon near the toolbar.

Annotate the document

A window will open on your device. Annotate it, or tap “+” to access more Markup tools. When you’re finished, tap Done. On your Mac, click Done to save the annotated document.
