The Ziptop Waistpack is available in Black or Stone Gray, and works well as a sling or a fanny pack. It’s capacious, and the slim but tall profile is ideal for items like an iPad mini. There are two zippered pockets: a small iPhone–friendly front one, and a larger main compartment with two mesh pockets for neatly stowing items. There’s no hidden pocket at the rear, sadly.

The 1050D nylon shell feels very hardy, and there’s a weather–resistant seam on the main compartment to help keep the interior dry. Zippers are quality YKK and feature simple but effective nylon toggles — handily these have reflective elements woven into the fabric, which make you more visible at night. Chrome’s pack is comfortable to wear thanks to the wide strap, though for us we did find it to be a little on the long side in fanny pack mode — great for those with a larger waist, however.
