COFB’s hip bag has a premium price tag, but the LA–based brand goes some way to justifying it. First up is the expanding design, increasing storage from 2.3L to a mighty 7L, giving you room for a day’s essentials. The fabric is a mix of lightweight, strong, and waterproof X–Pac for the main body, and Cordura for the rest. Neat touches include a Fidlock magnetic clasp for the main strap, aluminum hardware for the front hooks, hypalon accessory loops and YKK zippers all around.

There’s several pockets for stuff — the main expandable one, which houses a sturdy key clip; a secondary compartment w//ith several mesh pockets; and the all–important security pocket at the rear — big enough for an iPhone 12. There are also two mini pockets on the belt for storing small items. Comfy to wear at the hip or over the shoulder, this is one beautiful, if pricey, bag.
