Denon’s long history of making high–end hi–fi informs this soundbar, which comes with a wireless subwoofer, 2.1 sound with 4 drivers and HDMI ARC, optical and analog inputs and an easy–to–use remote control. You also get Dolby Digital. It features built-in Google Chromecast, offering direct access to a whole wide world of music streaming — including that from Spotify, Tidal, and much more.

Chromecast integration allows for multi–room grouping with other Chromecast–enabled kit, too, and also opens the doors to voice control so long as you have a separate Google Assistant device. Bluetooth is also onboard.

Even though there’s no dedicated center speaker, dialogue was crisp and focused, and the depth of the soundstage admirable — there’s lots of bass too. Music playback was at least as good as the movie experience. Light on features, but this is a great–sounding system at a relatively affordable price.
