HOW TO Use Screen Time for your family

1 Choose your child

When you go into System Preferences > Screen Time, you’ll see your account settings. To change that, click on the drop–down underneath your picture and select someone from the list of family members.

2 Decide on Downtime

Downtime enables you to set time periods where only certain apps and calls are allowed, so for example you might want to disable inessential apps when it’s time for school, or when they usually do their homework.

3 Configure comms

The Communication link enables you to specify who can communicate with your child via Phone, FaceTime, and Messages. If you limit communication to specific contacts, you’ll always be included in the list.
