HOW TO Set up and stream with Infuse
1 Connect a folder
In the Files tab, click to add a new video location. You will see hard drives connected to your Mac as well as those available on your network. Click through to locate the library folder you want to use as a source.
2 View your movies
At the top level of the folder, click the star icon to add it as a favorite. Then back in the main Files tab, you’ll see it appear. Click into the folder and you’ll see your movies or TV shows, as Infuse downloads metadata.
3 Set up playlists
You can add more folders, for example, to add a library of TV shows in a separate master list. To create a playlist, Ctrl–click a movie and select Playlists then click to create a new playlist, assigning it a name.
4 Correct any errors
The playlist appears under your library tab and you can add more movies. If Infuse has downloaded the wrong metadata, Ctrl– click the file and select Edit Metadata. In the Search box, type the title you want.
5 Manage the display
Select the correct information from the list. Since sometimes movies have the same name, this is a quick way to clear up mistakes. You can also change the sort order of movies between date added and alphabetical order.
6 Get a handle on your library
Infuse scans the library folders you’ve chosen but if you ever have problems, the Library tab of the Preferences section can be used to force a new, full scan or refresh all metadata.
