HOW TO USE SLIDE OVER

-

1

TAP THE TOP

Open the app you want to slide in and out. At the top of the screen, you should see three dots. Tap them to reveal a rounded rectangle containing the Slide Over and Split View icons. Tap the third icon, the one on the right side.

2

PICK ANOTHER APP

Your app should now slide over to the right of the screen and you’ll see the Home Screen — but at the top there’s a Slide Over message asking you to choose the other app. In this example, we’ll go for Pages, which lives in a folder in our Dock.

3

SLIDE IN AND OUT

You can now slide your first app (in this example, Photos) in and out by swiping out of or into the right–hand edge of the screen. In this screenshot we’ve swiped Photos out and then dragged an image directly into our Pages document.
