> Email – Edison Mail
Edison Mail is full of clever touches. Hover over a message to move, delete, or multi–select it without opening it. The Focused inbox triages out newsletters, and Edison sorts your mail into folders for receipts, travel documents, parcel tracking info, and event tickets automatically. There’s natural language search and sender icons next to messages, plus undo send and a customizable interface that lets you change what gestures do and what buttons appear on messages. And for $15 a month you get extra security features, like a spam blocker and tools to verify senders and validate contacts. The Mac version lacks a few iOS app functions, like an integrated calendar and a snooze button. Its interface is also heavy next to Spark. When signing up, we suggest you opt out of Edison Trends, which sells your (anonymized) commercial data like purchase histories to keep the app free. This feels a little uncomfortable to us.
