Safari Extensions are little apps that easily plug into Safari on your Mac, iPhone, or iPad to give it new powers. Those powers could involve finding voucher codes for online shops, or they might block all kinds of online irritations. In this section we’ll focus on the latter to help you browse sites more effectively.
We’ll also look at a very powerful Safari Extension called Social Fixer. It’s designed specifically for Facebook and does an excellent job of undoing a lot of the things that really annoy us on the social network, such as filling our feed with unwanted content and recommending things we don’t want to see. As we’ll discover, it looks a bit complicated but it’s actually incredibly simple to use — and it works really well.
