What iCloud is not

-

>>> BETTER THAN BACKUPS iCloud is a sync service, so if you delete or damage a file or photo it’ll be deleted from or damaged on all your devices. Don’t stop using Time Machine.

>>> BIG ENOUGH FOR FREE

Ten years ago, iPhones had 8GB of storage and iCloud gave you 5GB of cloud storage for free. Now, iPhones have 128GB of storage and iCloud, er, gives you 5GB of cloud storage for free.

>>> ANY GOOD ON ANDROID Apple hasn’t completely ignored Android — you can get Apple Music on Google’s platform — but it isn’t hugely interested in it either. The only officially supported way to get iCloud on Android is via iCloud.com; if you want to share or collaborate with Google users you’d be better off using Google Drive.
