What about iTunes Match?

-

>>> iTunes Match has been around for over a decade now. For $24.99 a year it copies your entire music library — up to 100,000 tracks — to the cloud, replacing low–quality tracks with higher quality ones and making your library available on any device. Crucially, your music doesn’t use any of your iCloud storage space.

iTunes Match is still going — for the time being, at least — but it’s been absorbed by Apple Music: if you have a paid Apple Music subscription then you have iCloud Music Library, which does what iTunes Match does. It’s important to note that unlike purchased or ripped music, Apple Music downloads aren’t yours forever: you can only access them for as long as you have an Apple Music subscription and they’re available on the service.

?? ?? iTunes Match was great value back in its heyday but it’s largely been absorbed by Apple Music now.
