Incase Slip Sleeve

The Slip Sleeve from Incase is an intriguing proposition, with a mesh fabric construction called PerformaKnit, which comes in three colors: Asphalt, Burst, or Graphite. It’s lightweight, stretchy, there’s little bulk to it, and it feels tough — Incase says it protects against “scratches, scrapes, nicks and dings”. It doesn’t feel like it offers as much impact protection as other sleeves, though we didn’t encounter any issues during testing.

Placing your MacBook inside the case is easy, which is down to a lack of zips. Instead, the opening features a magnetic closure system which snaps into place once your Mac is inside. Incase says the larger Slip Sleeve (there’s a smaller version for 13–inch MacBook Pro and Air) works with 16–inch MacBooks, but this is the earlier 2019 Intel model, not the later 2021 M1 model.
