As you’d expect, macOS Sonoma drops support for some older Macs. If you’re running macOS Ventura on a 2017 MacBook Pro, a 2017 iMac or a 2017 12– inch MacBook, you can’t upgrade to Sonoma. Unfortunately, some features in Sonoma are for Apple silicon Macs only, and cannot be used on Intel Macs running Sonoma.
