Bigger is better

-

“Once you go big, you don’t go back”. I have a 27” iMac 2019 model with an i9 Intel chip. I am not going back to a smaller screen. Like you, I have already decided that a Mac mini path is the only way I will go, when I have to. I am not sure why Apple won’t manufacture a larger iMac, because I reckon there are lots of iMac users out here that think like we do. On Black Friday we purchased a MacBook Air, 13–inch, M2, to replace a MacBook Pro 2013 that my wife was using. I already have a MacBook Air M2 purchased last year. I do love that Air — it's fast and the screen is beautiful. We will keep the old Mac as an archive and to use a couple of programs that won’t run on the “M” Mac, for now.

To me the iMac is the pinnacle of Apple engineering (as far as macOS is concerned), so it’s odd that Apple is neglecting the many pros/budding pros that want the simplicity and refinement of working from an all–in–one. I started my Apple life on an iMac, have always used iMacs, and therefore I want to use an iMac — any other option just feels like a halfway house.

I just read Matt Bolton’s article It's certainly true Jay, Samsung’s flagship phone, the S23, has a seriously capable camera system. According to our sister website, Tom’s Guide, however, the difference between the two isn’t quite as pronounced as you would think, with the S23 better in some aspects, and the iPhone better in others. Overall, though, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is the much superior device.
