Magda Szubanski is coming to Mandurah.

PEEL Chamber of Commerce and Industry has attracted one of the biggest names in Australia to Mandurah later this year.

Television and film actor, comedian and writer Magda Szubanski will come west to be the keynote speaker at the 2018 Future Proof Peel Business Conference on November 14.

In the 1980s, Szubanski made her name in the D

Generation with friends at Melbourne University and was part of the team that later created Fast Forward in which she played a range of characters.

In 1995, with Gina Riley and Jane Turner, she wrote and performed in the first all-female sketch program Big Girl’s Blouse, later developed into Kath and Kim.

She played Esme Hoggett in the two Babe movies and in 2015 released her award-winning autobiography Reckoning.

Szubanski has twice polled as Australia’s most recognised and trusted personality.

Last year, she was one of the most prominent faces of the Marriage Equality campaign in Australia and was a member of the cast of the movie Three Summers, the Ben Elton movie based on the Fairbridge Festival.

The conference program will be released soon.
