Campaign off to a bad start
THE Peel Thunder Colts lost to Swan Districts 52-61 in the first game of their finals campaign at Claremont Oval on Sunday.
Talent manager John Deitz said it was an “arm wrestle” and Peel was playing catch-up football.
“We could not capitalise when they got the ball inside 50,” he said. “We were 16 points down at quartertime and could not peg them back.”
Deitz said the team would regroup and hopefully bounce back in their door-die game against East Fremantle at Joondalup Arena on Sunday.
This weekend’s game will be the first semi-final.
