Is the story of King Arthur true? There is lots of evidence to say it could be based on a real person:

Legend says King Arthur’s parents were from Tintagel Castle in England. Excavations of the site have since revealed a slate engraved with the name ‘Artognou’ and other names from the story. Could ‘Artognou’ be the real king Arthur?

In 1191 monks of Glastonbury Abbey reportedly uncovered a tomb containing a cross that said “Here lies buried the famous king Arthur with Guinevere in the Isle of Avalon,” but where the cross is now, nobody knows.

Some place names from medieval England sound very similar to the places in the Legend of King Arthur – such as Camulodunum. Could Camulodunum be the kingdom of Camelot where King Arthur ruled?
