THE Southern Forest Machinery Raceway is back in action on Saturday for the second last meeting of the 2017-2018 season.

The SSRC Super Sedan Summer Series will thunder into town once again, with a star-studded field of more than 15 cars.

Leading the charge will be Gary Higgs, who has been in winning form the whole season.

Higgs has either finished first or second in the feature events this season, so he will look to continue that strong form.

Mount Barker’s Chris Pavlovich has claimed wins this season and is a regular visitor to the Manjimup track, so he will be looking to stop Higgs’ winning run and claim a round win in Manjimup.

The field also includes the Aylett duo of Kemble and Lee, veteran Bert Vosbergen and Damon Trouchet.

This weekend the AMCA’s will return once again and Matt L’Hullier will look for back-to-back victories after winning the feature event here on February 27.

The sedans will be back, with a great fields of juniors, street stocks and production sedans.

Productions this weekend will be running their feature for the year, so a quality field is expected.

Early nominations for production sedans include former State Champion Drew Ogle in the field, along with multiple feature winner Kyle Sayer, who is coming off a big win in Albany at weekend.

Street stocks see Shane Whild entered, who won the event with teammate Alex Williams in February, along with the hometown heroes in David Fall, Jack Favero and more.

Junior sedans also have great field, including another new driver to the sport in Sean Kirwan.
