Help on hand for residents
South West residents will tomorrow have a one-stop shop to address most government, employment and lifestyle needs as part of the inaugural Southern Forests Community Services Expo.
More than 30 service providers, including Department of Transport, Telstra, Bankwest, South West Aboriginal Medical Service and South Regional TAFE will be represented at the expo.
Manjimup Community Resource Centre accounts administrator Emma Lindquist said the expo would provide people with the opportunity to address government service issues, employment pathways, legal matters, fines enforcement and banking.
“It will meet at least one need of each person that comes along,” she said.
“Bring as much information as you can, such as your passport, birth certificate, driver’s licence and proof of address to make sure you are helped as effectively as possible.”
Ms Lindquist said it was an honour to have so many service providers come together for the expo.
“It shows they appreciate what we do in the region to assist people,” she said.
“This is not only for people living in Manjimup, anyone living in the South West is welcome to come along.”
This is the first time the expo will be held in Manjimup but similar expos have been held in Bunbury and Collie to great success, according to Ms Lindquist.
The expo will be held at Manjimup Home and Community Wellness Centre from 10.30am to 1.30pm tomorrow.
