Kids set for Christ­mas in the Park

Chil­dren in the re­gion will en­joy fun and fes­tiv­i­ties later this month at the an­nual Man­jimup Christ­mas in the Park and Car­ols by Can­dle­light.

The af­ter­noon of fes­tive fun will be held on De­cem­ber 16 from 4pm at the Man­jimup Tim­ber Park.

The an­nual event is a com­bined ef­fort by Man­jimup’s churches.

Or­gan­is­ing com­mit­tee mem­ber Sue McCred­den said the event was im­por­tant as a way to cel­e­brate to­gether.

“It’s a great op­por­tu­nity for the whole com­mu­nity to get to­gether to cel­e­brate the sea­son,” she said.

From 4pm on the day, there will be ac­tiv­i­ties such as a climb­ing wall, in­flat­a­bles, Devon­shire tea and food.

There will be a free sausage siz­zle held from 6pm.

Car­ols by Can­dle­light will be­gin at 7pm.

East Man­jimup Pri­mary School Year 5 stu­dent Emma Price said she en­joyed all the var­i­ous food at the event.

“It’s re­ally nice be­cause there’s veg­e­tar­ian and it’s all healthy,” she said.

Year 4 stu­dent De­clan Pinelli said the event was fun be­cause it was “re­ally fes­tive” and a lot of peo­ple were there.
