Santa slides into town for an early visit
Father Christmas visited Manjimup last week in the lead up to the festive season to get some practice on the giant slide. Speaking to the Manjimup-Bridgetown Times on Friday, he said the slide at Manjimup Timber Park was perfect for getting ready to slide down chimneys.
“Ever since I heard of the slide being installed, I’ve been looking forward to practising on it,” he said.
“It’s a lot of fun and a lot less sooty that actual chimneys.”
Father Christmas said he looked forward to returning to the Lower South West region next week on Christmas Eve.
“There’s still plenty of time between now and Christmas and I have plenty of time to re-check my lists,” he said.
“With the region being so warm over Christmas, I always really appreciate milk and cookies and carrots for my reindeer.
“As someone who travels long distances over the festive season, I ask people to be careful on the road.”
