How to make a Flower Fountain

Manjimup-Bridgetown Times - - Classifieds -

Make a flower fountain in your backyard with pretty flowers or strawberry plants which you can eat once they’ve grown big and red.

What you will need:

3 or more different sized plant pots. Seedlings of petunias or strawberry plants. A good soil mix. Large pebbles or small rocks from the garden.

Build your fountain:

1. Put a layer of rocks in the bottom of each pot and then fill each pot with the soil mix. 2. Stack the pots from biggest to smallest putting the biggest pot on the bottom

and the smallest pot on the top. It should look like a pyramid now. 3. Use your fingers to make little holes in the soil that is still visible on each layer. Remember to leave a gap between each seedling so that it has room to grow. 4. Water your flower (or strawberry) fountain about 3 times a week and watch

your seedlings grow.
