Call­ing all budding ju­nior mo­tor­cy­clists

MANS­FIELD Ju­nior Mo­tor­cy­cle Club is host­ing a venue for the 2014 Mo­tor­cy­cling Aus­tralia Na­tional Come and Try Day at Mer­ri­jig this Sun­day.

The Mans­field club fo­cuses on ju­nior mo­tor­cy­cle rider de­vel­op­ment, with the aim of help­ing young rid­ers learn the nec­es­sary skills in or­der to ride a dirt bike safely, while hav­ing fun in a safe, su­per­vised en­vi­ron­ment.

Rid­ers from age 4 to 18 are catered for, and the club is af­fil­i­ated with Mo­tor­cy­cling Vic­to­ria (MV), op­er­at­ing un­der their reg­u­la­tions for ju­nior rid­ers.

At the come and try day, and at all club days, cer­ti­fied MV coaches pro­vide free coach­ing and ad­vice to help young rid­ers de­velop their skills while learn­ing all as­pects of re­spon­si­ble and safe dirt bike rid­ing.

Come and Try Day is be­ing held at McCormack Park, McCormack Lane, Mer­ri­jig, and reg­is­tra­tion is at 8.30am, and new­com­ers are wel­come to at­tend that day, or any of the club open days.

You don’t have to be the next Max Fricke to join in, just come along with a will­ing­ness to lis­ten, learn, and have fun.

At the open day, all new rid­ers will re­ceive a free an­nual recre­ational li­cence, val­ued at $110 to help you get started.
