Juniors on target at Mansfield clay shoot
MANSFIELD Clay Target Club held its annual Neil Walsh Memorial 100 target point score championship on Sunday.
There was a good turnout of shooters with nine squads under very trying windy conditions.
The overall winner of the event with a great score of 297/300 was Nick Kirley, while AA grade was taken by Arthur Willett with a score of 296/300 with second going to D Healey.
A grade was taken by Mitch Dunnachie with a score of 291/300 and second David Luelf with a score of 282/300.
Junior competitor Connor Keck won B grade with a score of 276/300 with P Watkins second with 254/300.
C grade was won by S Wazniak 284/300 with Geoff Foster second following a shoot off with local junior Jake Murray, while the veterans grade was won by Mingo Diaz.
Ladies was won by club secretary Shawnti Coolahan, the junior competition was won by Keck and sub junior Bailey Vogelzang.

The next shoot will be held on Sunday, March 16, events being the 10 target eye opener, 50 target medley and 50 pair double rise.
Club practice night is every Thursday 5pm at the Pikes Road clubrooms, new members welcome to come along.
